The Surreal McCoy's Big Board at Shrewsbury International cartoon Festival

The theme was Olympic Sports this year with an added twist of Victoriana. Drawing live in the town square the cartoonists were at various times joined or assaulted by Queen Victoria and the cast of Alice in Wonderland which left them wondering exactly what kind of breakfast mushrooms were on offer at the hotel that morning.

Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival 2011

Another cartoon for the Olympic-themed exhibition at this year's Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival. Things kick off tomorrow with a chance to see cartoonists, including The Surreal McCoy, drawing big boards live in the town square. Full programme of events here.

Here's my Big Board, drawn live this weekend in front of the good, but maybe also puzzled and perplexed people of Shrewsbury. The theme was 'Magic, Myth and Mystery'.
